Today the building stands on Park Avenue in Manhattan. This 47 story 625 feet Art Deco landmark was designed by architects Schultz and Weaver in 1931. This modern hotel has 3 American and Classic European restaurants along with a beauty parlor located right off the main lobby. There are also several luxurious boutiques that surround the lobby that have won awards for its excellent restoration.
Accommodations
Since 1893, Waldorf = Astoria has been known for its spacious individually decorated guestroom and suites that offer a combination of timeless elegance and up-to-the-moment convenience and luxurious comfort. Inside the Deluxe Guestrooms you will find a mini bar, high-speed internet access, fax, copier, and printer all in this 200-225 square feet suite. There is also a TV with premium channels and a marble bath or shower with amenities. The Business Class rooms are also similar in size and have all the amenities of the Deluxe Guestroom. However there is also twice daily maid service, bathrobes and a king size bed! The Suites range from 300-900 square feet. In the smaller suites you will find a wet bar or kitchenette along with all the amenities of the Business Class rooms. The larger suites have two TV's, a spacious closet, dual sinks and a large boudoir with make up and dressing areas. Even more luxurious is the Waldorf Tower Rooms and Suites. These rooms range from 375 - 5,400 square feet and are located on the 28th- 42 floors offering some of the most peerless elegance and luxury in the world.
